CHAPTER 3
SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND
RECOMMENDATIONS
SUMMARY
This paper attempted to determine the advantages of mathematical and statistical knowledge provided to Dota players.
This research design used in the study is the descriptive informative research methods wherein data from articles, surveys and interviews were used to answer the research question posed. The research findings are the following:
1. Not all mathematical and statistical knowledge are distinguish well and gives advantages to players, which is affected by the factors that makes a player be better in playing Dota ant the applications of mathematics and statistics of Dota.
2. Mathematical and statistical knowledge in Dota gives advantages to players like psychological and social advantages which were acquired by playing the game.
3. Factors that makes a better player should also take in consideration as advantages provided to players which was determined by using statistical and mathematical knowledge.
4. These mathematical advantages can also be applied in other fields wherein these mathematical knowledge were provided in the mechanics by means of computations, assumptions, and probabilities.
5. There are also difficulties or disadvantages that mathematical and statistical knowledge pose in playing Dota despite of the advantages it provides such as psychological, physical and social disadvantages that players get in playing the game.
CONCLUSION
Based on the findings of this study, the following conclusions were drawn:
1. It is difficult to know where mathematical and statistical knowledge were applied in the game Dota because there are many mechanics to consider in the game.
2. In distinguishing the mathematical and statistical knowledge in Dota, the player must not aim to know where did these knowledge is applied because it is difficult especially statistics,instead, he/she should nfocus on getting the advantages that it provides.
3. Though players get advantages in playing Dota, they should also know the advantages that it brings in order that they can cope and they would know what should be prevented and take in consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
After drawing the conclusions of the study, the the researcher hereby make the following suggestions/recommendations.
1. In distinguishing the applications of mathematical and statistical knowledge in Dota, it is better that players must share some insights on how they can understand how these quantities and computations were made in order that players would easily know whatever application were there relative to these knowledge which is difficult but possible, so players can think of how the results of the things were.
2. Game planners and makers should make a research on how to make these applications of mathematical and statistical knowledge be visible that could be sources of information for future game planners and makers to be based upon.
3. On the other hand, researchers should also make and construct articles about some applications of mathematics to Dota, so that players could view and study thing for them to understand and know the things and application of these two knowledge in Dota.
